CODE 7: Levels of Being

Soul Development

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e have all heard of the subconscious, the tremendous ocean of stored memories, emotional imprints and core motivations live. And many interested in personal transformation and evolution know about the super-consciousness, a higher level of cognition that we sometimes reach in peak moments of experience. But in reality, there are FIVE distinct levels of awareness that operate within us. These are operating at all times, though our everyday awareness is not subtle enough, or broad enough, to catch all this multi-leveled action.

The relative prominence of these different levels of consciousness is a crucial point of difference between people. And yet this is not part of our day to day language. We simply do not have the vocabulary within modern culture that can describe the relative degree of “soul development” of an individual. From what we have learned about Elemental Psychology, we already have a model for what the five dynamic levels of human consciousness might look like…

1. Automatic (Earth)—PHYSICAL

The mechanical energy of life, the same repetitive energy that powers the grass to grow, the stomach to digest, or our drive to work, if we are totally on “autopilot.”
 

2. Sensitive (Water)—ETHERIC

Sensitive energy is our ability to know be present in our body, and begin to inhabit our senses, and have a real sense of presence and groundedness in experience and experiencer.

3. Conscious (Fire)—ASTRAL

Becoming more aware of the background of awareness that is behind both myself and what I perceive, one begins to experience the inherent peace and joy of consciousness without fixation or agenda, especially of “me and mine.”

4. Creative (Air)—MENTAL

At this level, we have the ability to truly create and “do” things from our own side, not from preconditioning or habit. Yet our will to do is completely aligned with the appropriateness of the moment, the people, the place and all the other factors which create benefit for all. This is true creativity, as opposed to clever art or resourcefulness.

5. Global (Space)—CAUSAL

Global consciousness is quite free, and has no more bias about my personal space; There is pure benefit and alignment with deeper and higher purposes of humanity, the planet, and the larger movements of mind and time.
